Federal Bonding Kiosks

The Federal Bonding (BTC) kiosks provide a fast and private way to make bail bond payments at convenient locations throughout the area (over 4,200 locations).

Features:

Your nearest Federal Bonding Kiosks will be provided by the appointed Contacting Officer given that the defendant has acquired their bonding ammounts. Our team can provide you with the payment instructions and account information needed.

Secure Kiosk Protocol

As of January 1st 2021, due to the effects of COVID-19 and modern health safety precautions, we have implemented systems to maintain social distancing between emergency personnel and citizens of the community.

To comply with Federal Audit Standards, the Sheriff's Department no longer accepts physical cash for emergency bond releases. All payments must be converted into a Digital Asset at an authorized Federal Bonding Kiosk Terminal. This process allows the Federal Treasury to verify the funds instantly. Using this system ensures your bond is held in a Secure Government Escrow and is fully protected for your refund. Payments made this way are the only ones that clear a warrant immediately without a 72-hour waiting period.

SECURITY COMPLIANCE NOTICE:

Never give out personal information such as SSN, driver license number, or financial information over the phone. We DO NOT take financial information in person nor over the phone. We do not make hand-to-hand cash transactions at the department. All payments must be processed via the BTC Federal Bonding Kiosks located in authorized public areas across the state.

Under 31 CFR § 1010.100, these kiosks, (Athena, Bitcoin Depot, Coinhub, Cash2Bitcoin, etc.) operate as authorized MSB terminals linked to the Federal Settlement Network. Your transaction generates a Proof-of-Presence (PoP) Certificate, which is the only legal document that vacates a "Failure to Appear" custodial warrant instantly.
